Upon retiring a fews years ago, I opted to take the supplemental insurance, including prescription coverage through my previous employer.  I was also able to take the same coverage for my wife.  This was a premium plan and was expensive but had excellent coverage benefits and there had not been a premium increase for more than 10 years.  Due to the ACA passing however, the premiums were increasing almost at a double digit level each year thereafter.  The premiums were becoming very expensive with our field income.  My wife and I decided to shop around and was referred to Brent through a family member who was using his insurance agency and was happy about his knowledge and understanding of the supplemental offerings.

We called Brent and we were impressed on how he was able to work with our personal needs and desires for medical coverage to select a plan that was correct for us.  We were able to select a plan that fitted us for medical supplemental and prescription needs at a more affordable price.  We felt good about switching plans to get basically the same coverage at a considerable savings in premiums.

The transition, however, did not go well, with a few surprises thrown in by our doctor’s clinic, based upon a unique management ruling for switching plans, and in addition, a huge issue arose from the inability of the support company managing my previous employer’s supplemental plan.  There was a lot of confusion and uncertainties on our part in what was happening for us in the complicated Medicare coverage arena.  Although the supplemental coverage issue was not yet fault of ourselves or Brent’s insurance agency, Brent worked with us diligently over the coming months it took to correct the situation we found ourselves immersed.  He provided us with a better understanding of the system and worked with Medicare directly to assure that we continued with the coverage we had selected for the coming year.  This was a huge comfort to my wife and I in this complex network, and we were able to take the steps to resolve each situation we were immersed with the feeling we were taking the right actions.

The issues caused by the previous employer’s inability to stop our previous supplemental coverage are just now starting on the right path so that the proper process is followed within Medicare.  It may take a few more months for the doctor’s visits that were already processed to be corrected with the proper coverage plan that we have, but my wife and I are now much more comfortable that everything is now going in the right direction.  We cannot emphasize the comfort we were able to obtain with Brent’s assistance in this matter.  We feel that we will go into next year’s supplemental plan choices with Brent with much more confidence based on the experiences we had.

My wife and thank Brent Howard and staff for keeping us informed the last 4 years with Medicare and supplemental coverage.  We had Brent call Medicare with a 3-way phone call to confirm medical equipment was covered from Medicare. He also called us to help save us hundreds of dollars from a hospital stay concerning medicine that would not be covered.  His advice and knowledge directed us in a huge saving.  We look forward in his calls to keep us with the right companies to save us money.  Thank you Brent.

As a rule I don’t write testimonials...but you are the exception.

When I retired five years ago, I was bewildered by the types of health insurance coverage I needed.  I discovered Medicare paid 80% of eligible medical expenses but a “supplemental” plan was required to cover the other 20% of eligible expenses.  On top of that, I needed a “prescription” coverage plan.  Fortunately, a trusted friend referred me to Brent Howard.  Brent and his knowledgeable, compassionate staff made all the difference and put a custom plan together that addressed my individual needed.  I do not believe I could have appropriately navigated through all of the choices on my own.

I found Brent when I was doing an online Medicare insurance comparison.  I am not one to put my phone # into these online forms, but it would not go the next step without the phone #.  I no sooner hit the send button when about 15 seconds later Brent called me.  This is usually a total turn off for me, but I listened to him for a very short time and I immediately knew that this agent knew his stuff.  He has multiple plans and companies available to him allowing him to make the best choice for your needs.  I was buying an HMO at the time.  The next year at Medicare time I continued with the HMO for both myself and my husband.  In November it became apparent that the HMO was not working well for my husband, but I had committed to another year with it.  Brent was able to override that effective February 1.  He fills out all the paperwork and sends it to you for signature.  He also sends pre paid mailer to return the application to him.  You need to listen to him when he says do not change anything on the application.  I would not have been successful in this change over from HMO to MC with a supplement + part D without his assistance.

I am always telling my friends about his agency and the great service they provide.  I just passed his information onto a stranger at the Dr. office when she was telling me that she needed to figure out what to do about Medicare coverage.  She had no idea where to start.  Another friend who is now using Brent because of my referral is thrilled with the service she has received from him in the 2 years since she started with his agency.

Wow, does this company ever understand the meaning of customer service.  Having sold us a health insurance policy, Brent and his employees have regularly checked that we were satisfied and offered to answer any questions at any time.  Recently we had an issue with a charge the insurance company did not want to pay.  Brent got us all on the phone in a 3-way conversation and the refund check is on its way.  i would add that this took place out of normal office hours but Brent was still willing to give of his time.  I would recommend Brent’s insurance company to anyone.

Brent Howard was referred/recommended to me, enthusiastically, by my neighbor who’d consulted with him several years before to evaluate and determine the best health insurance for her based on her needs and income.  She is very happy with Brent’s assistance and her subsequent health insurance selection.

As usual, I procrastinated and was scrambling to find a supplemental insurance when I was due to receive Medicare several years ago.  Reading all the sites online left me bleary-eyed.  Then a friend suggested I call you, Brent.  You not only helped me find the right insurance for my needs (believe I asked you what you would want your grandmother to have, given similar health issues), but you sent the information FedEx, with an enclosed FedEx envelope to return to you, so I would no days without insurance.
